Palace Increases From the Waters


Last year, the drought, led to the wreck re-emerging and it prompted archaeologists start the project to record and save the ruins. There had been fears that the kingdom would deteriorate or it would become damaged.

The plan team consisted of the German and the local Kurdish experts. This has been led by the doctors, Dr. Ivana Puljiz and Hasan Ahmed Qasim, Ph.D, as the combined project in between the Kurdistan Archaeology Organization and the University of Tübingen,” base on the Kurdistan 24. These two team leaders had also been helping to unearth the Bronze Age city at the Northern Iraq at the peak of the warfare towards the Islamic State.

There was a photo of the terrace wall of the western part of Kemune Palace.

This palace is thought to be until to 3,400 years of age and the archaeologists had been shocked at what this kingdom has been revealed. From the initial investigation of this place, it is anticipated that it initially stood until 65 feet or 22 meters high. This has been constructed out of the mud bricks, which was widely bring into use in constructions of every kind during the Age of Bronze in the age of the Ancient East.

Most of the walls are around 2 meters or 6 feet thick and the whole building was designed so well. According to the CNN Travel, “The terrace wall of the mud bricks was then later added to even out the building, adding-up to the striking architecture.”
